ADEC Implements Enterprise Resource Management in Abu Dhabi Institutions


Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) announced that it has established Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in four prominent higher education institutions in Abu Dhabi: Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (PSUAD), Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE), Abu Dhabi Vocational and Training Institute, and University of Mohammad 5 -Abu Dhabi (UM5A). This move is part of ADEC’s ongoing efforts to streamline and create more effective processes and procedures for resource management across the education system in the emirate.
This move follows the completion of ADEC’s ERP system implementation for ADEC headquarters, teachers, and administrative staff last month. The ERP system will effectively consolidate different systems such as HR, procurement and finance, within the organization. The new system is a tool that effectively saves time, and encourages a more seamless exchange of information by centralizing key processes on a common platform.
Director General of ADEC H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al-Khaili said: “Implementation of ERP systems is an important step forward in improving organizational efficiency, and speeding up financial and administrative functions. ADEC places high importance on maintaining best IT practices and we look forward to creating a technological infrastructure that will ease work flow, improve access to accurate data, and support decision-makers and education strategy development.”
The ERP will work through a centralized system of administrative and financial solutions based on a unified data center, which serves all of ADEC’s systems. Implementation of this project in these four educational institutions will take approximately four months, to ensure accurate performance and sustainability.
