Retirement Applications

The Abu Dhabi Education Council wishes to inform those interested in applying for retirement that in order to qualify for benefits from ADEC, applications must be submitted through the below form.

Applications are subject to the rules and regulations in accordance with Article 27 of Law No. (2) of 2000 on Pensions and Remunerations of Retirement in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Those employees who are eligible for retirement benefits include:

  • Male staff members aged 60+ years with ten-year term of service;
  • Female staff members aged 55+ years with ten-year term of service;
  • Married, divorced, or widowed female employees who have children and have served for 15 years; however, ten years of service is sufficient when the employee is 50+ years old;
  • Male or female employees of any age who have been employed by ADEC for 25+ years.

For submission dates, applicant should follow the circular received from the office of Executive Director of School Operations sector.

(Regrettably, applications submitted after this deadline cannot be considered).

School administration will process all submitted applications and subsequently forward them to their respective Human Resources divisions for final approval.

Applicants are to remain in their post until the end of the school year.
